What now?

We're going to be coming up on my 2-year blogiversary this summer, and I'm having a bit of a mid-life crisis. So far, I've been pretty happy toodling along, posting whatever I feel like. However, it feels like it's time to focus a bit. Get down to business. To that end, I'm asking you, gentle readers, to tell me what you'd like me to write about.

When I first started this blog, I didn't think anyone besides my mom (and occasionally my husband) would ever read it. Now, I get in the neighborhood of 100 hits a day. Not a huge number, but I think it's pretty darn good, especially considering I can go days at a time without posting. I would like to get motivated to blog again, instead of putting it at the bottom of the priority list where it only gets done when I don't have anything better to do.

So...what do you like about this blog? What would you like to see more of? What are you interested in? Do you want knitting pictures? More design talk? Techniques & tutorials? More about the kids? Never want to see the kids again? What are your favorite (and least favorite) posts about? Inquiring minds want to know.

Am I first? Really? Well, I almost didn't comment but it drives me crazy to have a 100+ days and 2 comments...but enough about me.

I admit that I am here for the sock p*rn. That's it, I confess. All the other stuff is just icing on the cake.

Thanks and congrats on the anniversary!

Congratulations on blogging for 2 years. I'm working on my 2nd year now and could only hope to have 100 hits a day.

I love your current format but I'm always grateful when there's tips & techniques. I can always use a first-time or reminder tutorial on just about everything!

I love the knitting pics but also enjoy reading about the kiddos, the chickens, the garden, the trials and tribulations.... all of it!

Congrats on your second blog anniversary! I think the combination of knitting, designing, yarn and stories about your life makes your blog appealing. (at least that is my humble opinion) Don't change I would say!

I enjoy the knitting content the most, especially socks. I was happy to read about the sock cruise, too. Other stuff, like chickens, not so much, but to each his own. If I'm not that interested, I'll just scroll down and look at pictures. At least you blog, which is more than I do!

Congratulations on almost 2 years of blogging! I'm coming up on my 1st blogiversary real soon.

I enjoy reading your blog the way it is, but would also enjoy tutorials if you felt like doing that. I always like to learn new techniques or a new way of doing something.

Hey Girl,
Congradulations on the big "#2"!!!
I figure one of these days I will get there too. Like you, sometimes life just takes over and blogging looses its space in line.
I enjoy your pic and yarn and designing info. Tutorials would be an added bene'; but still like hearing about real life and such too. I would say you are doing just fine.

Hmm, it sounds like you really don't need to change, at least from the comments above mine. I come here because, 1) I met you in real life, 2) you are local to me, 3) you are a mom like me with all of the fun and not so fun stuff of motherhood, 4) you knit and show us pretty stuff, 5) you are fun to read, oh and I do like the chickens and reading about some of the environmental things you have going on. So, I wouldn't change anything if it were me, but of course thats my opinion.

Well, I'll jump on the bandwagon and agree that if you wanted to do some tutorials, I always appreciate those. I too enjoy the sock pr0n and pictures of your projects.

I've only been blogging for a couple of months now, so congratulations on two years!

I would say you should do what feels fulfilling to you for your blog. It's your little sandbox and you should play in it how you want to!

(I hope this is not a repeat post but I couldn't tell if it posted correctly the first time)

I love your blog. I think that you wouldn't be getting all the hits that you do get if you weren't doing something right. I love your designs and just the way your write about your life. It is also a little bonus that I actually run into you from time to time too =).

I love the design talk - both because i'm starting to design myself and it's always fun to read the experiences of others and because you write about the process and its triumphs (and occasional defeats) so well! :)
