We made it!

Looks like I will be going next weekend - Owen (and Bill) survived an entire night without mommy last night. And it wasn't even too bad, apart from the initial hour-long sobfest at the beginning of the night. He snapped out of it finally, snuggled up with Bill and fell asleep. He had a couple more incidents at 4 and 5:30 but recovered pretty quickly. He sure was happy to see me this morning, though!

In other good news, I just got another sock design accepted for the Winter '07 issue of Interweave Knits! Yay! I love getting any acceptance, but Interweave is the frosting on the cake for me. I just love thinking of my humble little designs next to those of Kate Gilbert, Annie Modesitt and Debbie Bliss.

I've got some pics to share with you all, but that will have to wait for another day. Right now I need to figure out how to convince Sydney that candy is a special treat and not a meal. I've explained it a hundred times but she remains skeptical.

Congrats on both fronts! That is great news! Now if you could solve the candy issue you'd have a banner day!

Congratulations! And I love seeing the names of people I "know" in the mags I love. Someday I hope mine can join yours. ;-)

Candy...that's not a meal! Now chocolate....that still counts as one of the food groups right?

Congratulations! Both on the pattern and TNNA. I was really hoping that you would be able to go. Thanks also for the link to their page earlier. I have been watching it and drooling over all of the neat things.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! If you figure out how to fix the candy is not a meal issue can you let me know how you did it. It would definitely be handy...and while we are at it can we find a solution for why cookies aren't either and why sometimes it is good to eat something more than mac n' cheese for every meal. :)

Big congratulations on the Interweave pattern--and even bigger congrats on Owen's accomplishment! I'm so glad you'll be able to go to TNNA. You deserve it and it's the perfect time to go, what with your ever-blossoming knitting career and all. Is there no stopping what you can do? *grin* Congrats again & Happy New Year.

p.s. I finished my Dec. socks a few hours before midnight on the 31st--and I blogged about it before the New Year for proof. *grin*

Wow, congrats on the Interweave acceptance! It's my favorite magazine and someday I would love an acceptance as well. That was a fast decision on their part. I think the submission deadline was Dec 15, wasn't it? :)
